Hit with a second cancer diagnosis I knew I needed expert nutritional advice to help me get through the gruelling treatment schedule. I had met Meredy on a wellbeing course 5 years previously when I had finished my first bout of chemo. I liked her demeanour instantly. Kind, calm, positive and armed with an abundance of colourful foodie knowledge. So I asked Meredy if she would help manage my regime through the next round of treatment.
Over the last 18 months Meredy has been a constant support. We have checked in regularly. Easy to talk to about anything, and I mean anything, she provides excellent nutritional advice to help ward off side affects and ailments related to chemo and immunotherapy. With fine tweaking and making regular adjustments to my eating regime I was so relieved that my side affects were kept to a minimum, which in turn helped my tolerance levels and helped keep my immune system strong. Meredy did not put me on a strict diet, instead she strengthened my knowledge of healthy eating practices which have now become a way of life. Through our journey together I have learnt so much about gut health, balancing hormones, cholesterol levels, blood count, and just how easy it is to eat super healthy. I feel great.
Nutrition aside, Meredy looked at me from top to toe. In our sessions we talked about food, exercise, rest, mindfulness all the necessary components to help balance the mind, body and spirt. I am forever grateful for Meredy’s warmth, empathy, positive energy and kindness. She is uniquely brilliant in every way. Do not struggle through any cancer treatment. There are ways and means to help you get through the grim. Diet is one major factor. Meredy has so much experience and knowledge and her gentle kind encouraging nature will help you soldier through and feel good mentally and physically about controlling your cancer journey.
